I couldn't agree more! This team is stale and needs a shake up. I wouldn't mind seeing Dumba being traded for a goal scorer.

the cap says no.. plus the wild need a sniper more than another playmaker type defensive center ..

Very weak market for defensemen. Most teams will need to go the 3D/7F protection route, and already have 3 they'd want to protect over Dumba.

vegas will want to compete right away i highly doubt they'll be wanting alot of unpolished 22 yr old D.. there will be much better D than dumba available

22 year old is exactly what Vegas will put priority on getting. Teams get to protect 7 forwards, plus de facto protection of UFA status for some, plus auto protection for guys with 2 years or less of service... Vegas is going to be stuck picking from guys not producing up to their contract, 4th liners, and 3rd pairing defensemen; outside of a handful of teams who gave away too many NMC's.

Does anyone really trust Fletcher to make an impactful trade? He traded for Dubnyk because he was desperate and his job was on the line and it happened to work out. His trades for the most part have been horrendous. I want a deal too but I can already see it ending up being Granlund and Brodin, or Granlund and Dumba for Patric Hornquist or Kumelin. Or better yet he'd trade for 6 months of Jagr.

I have to agree. The Dubnyk trade was the biggest fluke in years. No way he scores a trade like that again. It was as stated a pure fluke.

yeah maybe guys like brodin who are well rounded and have 3 yrs exp.. not guys like dumba who still have a ways to go defensively.. they'll be plenty of D available that are better than dumba

an impactful trade with the wilds $ situation i would think to be virtually impossible for anyone.. if 3-11-12 could get on track and play consistently he wouldn't have to do anything.. they really need to find some chemistry cause the 9 & 56 lines are working fine. 11 looked bad in vancouver and even worse in calgary

I still think the Nino for Clutterbuck was a good deal also. But other than that or the Dubnyk trade, Fletch has a losing record. I still think a Evander Kane for Pominville looks nice. If the Sabres really want either Brodin or Scandella in this trade, then something like Pominville & Scandella for Kane, Jake McCabe and Marcus Foligno. Then lineup could run....

Nino - Staal - Coyle
Parise - Haula - Kane
Zucker - Koivu - Granlund
Foligno - Graovac - Stewart

Suter - Spurgeon
Brodin - Dumba
McCabe - Folin
